 ABOUT BISSC

The Banjul International Surgical Scientific Conference is a leading scientific event that showcases surgical procedures and fosters the exchange of up-to-date knowledge in all surgical disciplines, including Paediatric Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic and Trauma Intervention, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, and Plastic Surgery. The event will benefit from expertise from both home and abroad, as well as from various units. Interestingly, this event will serve as a stepping stone for future events. Organized and hosted by Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in partnership with the University of The Gambia and the Postgraduate Office in Banjul.

The Conference is scheduled from 10th April to 11th April 2026 .

The 4Th Banjul International Surgical Scientific Conference will be held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre in Banjul.
