Professor of General Surgery (university of Jos, Nigeria) and Consultant General Surgeon, Jos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. Formerly Deputy Vice Chancellor University of Jos BT Ugwu has been training and mentoring medical Students and surgical residents for more than 25 years. He continues to train surgery residents and prepare them in cognitive knowledge, psychomotor skill and good character for good outcomes with the fear of God. Professor BT Ugwu has been an examiner at the West African College of Surgeons for over 15 years. He was the pioneer editor-in-chief of the college journal - The Journal of the West African College of Surgeons (JWACS). Currently, he serves as the chief coordinator of college courses of the West African College of Surgeons. Professor Ugwu has 67 publications in PubMed indexed peer-reviewed journals and has over 900 citations. He serves in the editorial team of several surgical textbooks and is the author of the surgery tutorial on Telegram which is a rich resource database for medical students, surgery residents and consultant surgeons.
